DEAN MARTIN cast- a look at Martin's biography

At the initial stages, Dean Martin was just a comic character but soon, he gathered a phenomenal success in almost every venue he went. The magic of Martin began with his partner Jerry Lewis and the duo finally became popular with the filmdom as the comic actors. After parting with Lewis, Martin became associated with Rat-Pack.

The best feature of DEAN MARTIN cast was that Martin was not only a great comic character but also proved his abilities as a great artist in serious dramas like "The Young Lion". He was also a great singer but as a surprising element, he did not know how to read music and he can never be called as one of the greatest baritones on the face of the earth. Yet then, Martin came up with more than 100 albums, which had over 500 songs. He gave hits like "Valore", "That's Amore" etc. The song that earned nation-wide popularity was "Everybody Loves Somebody".

Martin used to perform in popular nightclubs of Las Vegas for over three decades and then came down to the DEAN MARTIN show of NBC where he achieved his maximum popularity. The crispy and smooth comedy and threw snappy remarks about the celebrities but without any malice.

A loner, an introverted soul and a complex character from within! This was the true self of Martin despite his great success and popularity on the screen. Though he was a great performer on screen, his passions were different and he had a deep and keen interest in golf and baseball. He loved going to the restaurants and loved to TV.

He did not have a normal childhood and did not even complete his tenth grade studies. Dropping out of school, this legendary cast selected to engage himself in a myriad of jobs like mill worker and bootlegger. At the age of 15 he became a boxer and broke his nose in action. He also managed to get into the army but had to move out during the WWII due to hernia. It was then that he started performing in nightclubs and developed friendship with Jerry finally formed a team with him. Though they worked as a team, Jerry's popularity grew quite fast and finally, Martin moved out and with a spectacular performance in "The Young Lions", he came back to become a legendary actor and a host. The drama turned out to be a corner stone of his career and marked his success.

Downfall of Martin came with the sudden death of his son Dean Paul, who died in a plane crash. He could not completely recover from the incident and suffered from an illness, which remained undisclosed. His public appearances became rare but still he proved that he was one of the greatest showman that TV screen can ever have. This legendary showman finally died because of respiratory failure. It was 1995 Christmas morning when he took his last breath before he left for an unknown journey-truly unknown to any mortal being!
