SYNOPSIS



Over the past months, both Dr. Andy Brown (Treat Williams) and his son, Ephram (Gregory Smith) felt the constraints of small-town life. Ephram's restlessness and resentment toward his father saw him flee to Europe. Meanwhile, Dr. Brown's best friend Nina moved in with Jake (Scott Wolf), the town's young hotshot doctor turned entrepreneur. With so much unsettling change, Andy now wonders if his grand experiment of moving to this simple Colorado town has finally run its course. In the year ahead, both father and son will face tough decisions about their future. Ephram's choice is the hardest: forge ahead to new ground, or return to his old life and Amy (Emily Van Camp), the girl he loves. For Andy, it's a matter of trying to begin anew, perhaps in a place far from Everwood. .

Everwood

  Set in the fictional town of Everwood, Colorado, the popular TV series with the same name was a serious drama sprinkled with some comedic moments. It was filmed in several locations across the USA and had four seasons. If you have watched it when it appeared you might be interested in watching it again. An Everwood DVD or the Everwood Bluray will bring it into your home again.

  Everwood tells the interesting story of a widower, by the name of Dr Andy Brown, who is a successful neurosurgeon in Manhattan, New York, but leaves his top job and moves to a little town somewhere in Colorado. What a change! The great surgeon gives up his city fame and chooses to change his life considerably by becoming the resident of a small town that few of us have heard of.

  Dr. Andy Brown brings his children along, the 9-year-old daughter Delia and 15-year-old son Ephram. The reason why he chose the town of Everwood is of course his late wife who had told him several times of her emotional attachment to it.

  Thus, many of the story lines deal with the well-known adjusting issues that anyone coming to a small town from an impressive city like New York will surely encounter. There are conflicts of adjusting to a new setting, not to mention the difficulty of getting along with totally different new people. Initially, Dr. Brown, simply called Andy, finds a lot of animosity towards Dr. Harold Abbott who has different professional opinions. This situation may trigger the main conflict but Dr. Abbott's cranky demeanour opposed to Andy's passive, cheerful attitude finally mesh well. Paradoxically, the two begin a somewhat friendly rivalry.

  On the other hand, Ephram struggles with a lot of things like any teenager: his emerging adolescence, his tiring studies as a classical pianist, and, naturally, the crush he has on Amy Abbott, Dr. Abbott's daughter. The events are quite natural and predictable but the beauty of the series stands in the way in which everything settles. As the series goes on, you will see the love stories in it progressing with Amy and Ephram becoming a couple in Season 3 and sparks flying between Andy and Nina,his neighbour.
